This sculpture was completed in August of 2018 and then on display at SUNY Oswego through July 2021, having been selected in a juried competition. It is self-powered using a deep cycle solar battery and stores enough energy to power 20, one-watt LED landscape lights. Butterfly Effect 80 represents the studio’s first step toward creating larger sculptures that marry form and function.
